In unique city reports prepared for the Embassy of the United Kingdom, The Trade Partnership demonstrates the depth of the current trading relationship between the United Kingdom and cities throughout the United States. For each city, the reports highlight trade in goods and services, investment, and jobs supported by exports to the United Kingdom.
This study estimates the likely impact of terminating the North American Free Trade Agreement on the U.S. Economy, exports and jobs. It also estimates those impacts for each of the 50 states. We find that terminating NAFTA would have large net negative impacts on U.S. GDP, employment and exports, particularly in the short- to medium term. In contrast, as supply chains shift, trading partners like China, Korea, Japan and Germany would gain from a termination of NAFTA.

In a new report prepared for the Embassy of Canada, The Trade Partnership examines the effects of U.S. domestic content requirements on the U.S.-Canada economic partnership. Based on interviews with officials at companies and agencies where such requirements do or could shape purchasing decisions, the study finds rules can negatively impact U.S. jobs and competitiveness while also raising prices. Furthermore, any new policies that might prevent companies from sourcing from Canada could disrupt existing supply chains and harm many U.S. businesses.
